Breathe easy fans, Kapil Sharma won't be arrested soon!

Kapil Sharma has found himself mired in yet another controversy. After the ace comedian tweeted that he was asked for a bribe by the Municipal Corporation, things have gone awry for him. Kapil had slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and taken a dig at his 'acche din' motto too. 

But the case took a new turn when BMC officials revealed that Kapil had illegally built a portion in his new office which was demolished sometime in early 2016. They also accused Kapil of destroying the mangrove belt and claimed that he made changes to his apartment which isn't legal. 

BMC officials filed an FIR against the TV star and it was reported that Kapil might face upto 3 years of jail imprisonment for the issue. But now a leading daily reported that Kapil won't be arrested. 

A senior police official told the daily, "Supreme Court directions forbid us from making immediate arrests. The actors will have to submit an explanation which will be analysed and scrutinised by our officers. Statements of the actors will be recorded. We will verify whether their submission fits what’s legal. A final report will then be prepared."

So breathe easy fans, Kapil isn't going to jail anytime soon.
