Hindi film and television actor Deven Verma, who was widely known for his comic roles in a number of memorable films like Angoor, Khatta Meetha, Andaz Apna Apna, and many others, passed away early on Tuesday morning at a Pune hospital. He was 77 and had been suffering from various ailments, including diabetes and cardiovascular problems.
As soon as news of his passing broke, actors and celebrities wrote tributes dedicated to the late actor on social media platforms. Here is what some of them had to say.
Filmmaker Karan Johar said on Twitter that Verma's comic timing "doesn't have a successor".
