David versus Goliath - That's the full idea behind the show...
Bigg Boss 10 is ready to roll in about a few hours from now. Excitement, buzz and anticipation has already sky-rocketed. This year, the show touts to be extremely different from other years and we agree.
While Salman Khan returns as the host of the show, Bigg Boss 10 will have an interesting mix of celebrities and commoners for the first time ever. Usually, Big Brother - the show Bigg Boss is adapted from - has separate editions - one for celebrities and another for commoners - every year. But BB10 will have both celebrities and the common man fighting it out to the top.
Here's all you need to know about the show!
7 celebrities:
Unlike every year where you have 14 celebrities entering the show, this year will see only 7 of them locked up inside the house. Who are these 7? The names are already out in the open. Bollywood actor Rahul Dev, TV star Gaurav Chopra, supermodel Lopamudra Raut, Roadies winner VJ Bani, Bhojpuri actress Antara Biswas aka Mona Lisa and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai's baap-beta jodi of Rohan Mehra and Karan Mehra.
14 commoners:
Bigg Boss called in for auditions from the country men and women last year right before the Bigg Boss 9 finale. There were lakhs of entries and the team has shortlisted 14 of them who will fight it out to be one of the contestants on the show. The names of these 14 have already been given out to the media. Each of them has a very interesting story to tell and separate promos too have been cut out for each of them.
But.... only 7 can go inside:
Although the BB10 team has shortlisted 14 from the lakhs of entries that came to them, there's a catch to it. Only 7 out of the 14 commoners will make it to the show. How they will be filtered is something that we still don't know. But being an avid fan of Bigg Boss, we are expecting a huge surprise from the show. Who knows maybe the celebrity contestants will be given a choice to choose one contestant each! Makes sense, right?
So it's 7 vs 7:
When celebrities and the commoners will have to stay in the same house, locked up for over 100 days and do the same things, there's bound to be differences. And it won't surprise us if all the seven commoners gang up against the seven celebrities. After all, given their huge audience reach, they will definitely have an edge over the commoners. So it's a David vs Goliath inside the Bigg Boss house this time. Will a commoner make through to the top spot? Let's wait and watch!
