'Baahubali' heads towards the Rs 400 crore mark at worldwide box office

SS Rajamouli had a dream- of making the biggest film ever made in the history of Indian cinema. Baahubali, as he named it will come in two parts. And the first part which released around two and half weeks back has shattered all previous records and is now heading towards the Rs 400 crore mark at the worldwide box office.

Baahubali has been consistently bringing in great numbers right from the first day of its release. While in India itself, Baahubali saw a humongous opening of Rs 50 crore on day one (including all versions)- the highest so far by any Indian film, the film has also received a thumbs up globally, courtesy its hi-fi technique and visual effects. With never seen before special effects in the film, Baahubali has managed to rake in Rs 73.15 crore from its Hindi version alone.

Down South, the Tamil and Telugu versions have brought in huge moolah and Baahubali has become the highest grossing film down South. Also, the film has a cumulative worldwide collection of Rs 385 crore till date. The film is slowly inching towards the Rs 400 crore mark and in a matter of three days flat, the film is expected to easily cross the coveted mark as well.
