Akshay Kumar flies to Chennai for Robot 2.0, will shoot an action sequence with Rajinikanth!

Akshay Kumar grabbed headlines when news of him playing the villain in Rajinikanth's Robot 2.0 started doing the rounds. Now, the actor has finally zoomed off to Chennai for the shoot. Akshay reached Chennai on Sunday morning and will head to the sets of the film on Monday itself.

Shankar, the director has plans to shoot the dummy video footage for the first two days after Akki joins them on set on Monday. Post that, they will shoot for the film non-stop without any break for the next few weeks.

Along with some particular scenes, a high-octane action sequence will be shot between the film's hero Rajinikanth and the prime nemesis Akshay. Over Rs 20 crore has been spent only for that particular scene and the set-up has been readied so that the two superstars can quickly finish shooting that particular action sequence.

It is said that the scene will be shot as per Hollywood standards with stunt experts from the West, along with a team of VFX professionals who will then help the crew achieve the much desired effects.
