Priya Darshini wrote, "I can't believe it!!! My debut album PERIPHERY is nominated for a Grammy in the Best New Age Album category! A Live album, recorded entirely on one Mic getting a nod from the Academy is really quite surreal. I've dreamt of this day since I was little, but I guess a part of me didn't believe that dreams like this could come true for someone like me - a regular tamizh ponnu from Goregaon, Mumbai. Thanks to the universe for proving me wrong. Dream on because It's all possible, of course. Thank you for all your messages of love, and support. I feel so held! Thank you to the @recordingacademy, and to @cheskyrecords for believing in me."

She also congratulated her team by stating, "Congratulations to @asideofcello and @maxzt! We did it!!! Writing this record and diving into such a deep authentic vulnerable space with you two has been one of the most beautiful and powerful experiences of my life. Congratulations to  @joanmorgan and Devashish Makhija for co-writing your lyrics to The Banyan Tree and Jahaan, and to @chuckpalmer and @willcalhoundrum for bringing your magic to this record."

Priya Darshini concluded by writing, "Congratulations to all the nominees, and big high fives to my dearest friends, and colleagues for your Grammy nominations! I’m ecstatic for each of you! WOOOT. @anoushkashankar (7th nomination!!! - get that win!!), @snarkypuppy @marcelowoloski @beccastevens @keitaogawa @nichard @justinstanton @benkane #periphery #southasianartist #grammynomination #grammys2021 #bestnewagealbum2021."
