RRB ALP/Technician Group C Recruitment 2018: Vacancies increased to 64,371, check all details here

As per the notification, there are vacancies for 64,371 candidates out of which there are 27,795 vacancies for Assistant Loco Pilot and 36,576 for the various posts of Technicians.

RRB Group C ALP, Technician Recruitment 2018/ RRB ALP/Technician Group C Recruitment 2018: The vacancies for the RRB Group C ALP, technician recruitment 2018 have been increased according to the latest notification by Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). As per the notification,  there are vacancies for 64,371 candidates out of which there are 27,795 vacancies for Assistant Loco Pilot and 36,576 for the various posts of Technicians. The candidates can check all the details at the official website indianrailways.gov.in.

Earlier on September 14, Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) released the provisional answer keys for the 2018 Group C recruitment for the positions of Assistant Locomotive Pilot (ALP) and Technician. Candidates can check the answer keys by clicking on at the link provided at all the Board’s regional websites.

Candidates can also raise objections against the answers provided in the provisional keys. 

Steps to download RRB ALP, Technician Admit Cards 2018 for 1st stage CBT exam 

1. Log on to the official website: indiarail.gov.in or 

2. Click on ‘Download RRB ALP Admit Card 2018’ link. Candidate will be directed to a new page 

3. Fill in the required information like registration number and date of birth 

4. Access your account and then click on ‘Admit Card’ 

5. Click on Print


6. Carry the hall ticket on the exam day

-The admit cards or call letters would not be sent via e-mail. 

-The RRB has made the admit cards downloadable on the website. 

-Candidates are requested to carry their admit cards to the examination hall. Entry without call letter is strictly prohibited.

The selection process of RRB group ‘D‘ recruitment involves following steps:

Computer Based Test (CBT): This would be an online test of 90 minutes and will have 100 multiple choice questions.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET): In this, a candidate’s physical capabilities will be tested by means of some tasks. These would be different for men and women.

ABOUT Railway Recruitment Board: 

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will be conducting the Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician examination from August 9, 2018, in which nearly 48 lakh candidates will appear for the first set of the computer-based tests for 66,502 vacancies of assistant loco-pilots (ALP) and technicians.

The RRB Group C and Group D Computer Based Test (CBT) 2018 was scheduled to be conducted in the month of May.

However, it was delayed as the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) received large number applications.

The Railway exams are considered as one of the largest recruitment exams in the world. The 2018 Railway recruitment exams are being held after a gap of 4 years.
