The Delhi Police have served a notice to Jawaharlal Nehru University's (JNU) professor Atul Johri, against whom a case was registered late night on Thursday for allegedly passing lewd remarks and harassing female students who were pursuing their Ph.D under him. Two more students have come forward to complain about him to the police.

Johri, a professor at School of Life Sciences, was not at his residence when the police reached. Hence, he was served a notice to join the ongoing investigations on Monday. Two more students complained that Johri would touch them inappropriately and comment on their attire. Delhi police have asked JNU administration to give them a copy of the CCTV footage from the lab.

A case under Section 354 (Whoever assaults or uses criminal force to any woman, intending to outrage her modesty) and 509 (Word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) has been registered against Johri.
"We will record the statements of the two new complainants on Monday," said DCP Milind Mahadeo Dumbre.
