18-year-old suffer 3 fractures in right ankle at Greater Noida's amusement centre

A fun day turned up in to a nightmare for a teenager who was injured while jumping of a wall he had climbed as a part of an activity installed at an amusement centre in Greater Noida. Rachit Srivastava (18), a second-year engineering student, suffered three fractures on his right ankle after he jumped from a rock climbing wall.

According to Srivastava, he climbed the wall and jumped on the trampoline as per the instructions of the task. However, due to the faulty and stiff trampoline, he broke his ankle. Allegedly, the accident was a result of sheer negligence by the authority of the amusement centre, Mastiii Zone.

"I cried for help but no first aid was provided to me by the operators of the trampoline park, also no staff member was there to whom I or my friends could reach out for help," said Rachit.

The family of the injured, contacted the management, told them about the accident and questioned them regarding the negligence. Initially, the management of the trampoline park giving excuses, and later they started ignoring their calls. The injured teen is on bed rest for the next three months, due to which he won't be able to appear for his semester exams as well.

Parents of the victim filed a police complaint at Police station, but no FIR has been registered by the police so far.

The management of Mastiii Zone also denied providing CCTV footage of the day stating that they don't have CCTV footage of the day the accident happened.

When DNA contacted the mall authority, they denied any such allegations and stated that the family is trying to defame them. On the contrary, the family of the boy alleges that the surface of the trampoline, on which he fell, was hard, they further added that the boy was given no help despite pleading.

"We look after such emergency cases and have the staff to supervise the centre. The family is trying to defame us. We have put an instruction board for the gaming zone as well." stated Mr. J L Pandey, senior staff, Mastiii Zone.
