Barclays Hurun Richest Indian List: Mukesh Ambani takes no 1 spot for 7th consecutive year

RIL chairman Mukesh Ambani is on the top of the list of the richest Indians for the seventh consecutive year. The list compiled by Barclays and Hurun India says that Mukesh Ambani is in first place with a wealth of Rs 3,71,000 crore. At the same time, the total assets of the SP Hinduja family are estimated to be Rs. 1.45 billion and they are the second richest Indians. The list consists of Indians having wealth of more than Rs 1000 crore. According to Barclays and Hurun India, there are 831 people in India with net worth more than Rs 1000 crores. 

Together, they control 25%of India's total GDP. The number of first-generation entrepreneurs in the list of the richest people is also increasing rapidly, particularly those who have successful tech-start-up. Ritesh Agarwal, founder of Oyo, is the youngest member of the rich list at the age of 24. 95 years old chief of MDH, Dharam Pal Gulati is the senior most person in the list.
