Fanney Khan teaser beautifully narrates the musical journey of Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai and Rajkummar Rao
The makers of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer upcoming film Fanney Khan have just dropped its teaser and going by the looks of it, the movie is surely going to be an intersting musical watch. The 57-second long Fanney Khan teaser has Aishwarya looking drop-dead-gorgeous as she graces the screen with Rajkummar's voiceover in the backdrop. Aishwarya's galm avatar instantly takes us back to her stunning appearance in Karan Johar's last directorial Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and with her playing pop sensation in this film, the glam quotient only seems to have got a notch higher
We're also introduced to Anil Kapoor's character, which opens the teaser, as he's on a stage while the crowd's cheering for him. It's evident from the teaser that Fanney Khan is a common man who has a dream to achieve as he tries to balance his livelihood and his aspirations. Those who're uninitiated, Anil plays the character of a father who wants to fulfil the dream of his daughter (who wishes to be a singer).
Rajkummar Rao is the one narrating the story as he defines the title of the film. He says,"Fanney Khan - Iss naam ke kai maayne hote hain. Kalakaar, fankaar, singer, jaadugar, ya koi kamaal ka hi bewaqoof! Bas jiske saath maza aa jaye na, usse kehte hain Fanney Khan."
He further adds that this film is about one such Fanney Khan who changed the meaning of the very name. And then we're taken closer to the protagonist, Anil Kapoor, in his avatar of an ordinary man, playing a trumpet on his terrace, amidst the backdrop of skyscrapers.

Directed by Atul Manjrekar, Fanney Khan will bring back Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai after the duo shared a camaraderie in Taal. While Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is playing a singing sensation in the film, Rajkummar Rao will be portraying the love interest of Aishwarya.
The film is slated to release on August 3, 2018
