Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor wecomed their second child Zain Kapoor on September 5
It is especially a good year for Shahid Kapoor and his family, as the actor welcomed his second child with wife Mira Rajput Kapoor on September 5.
The couple named their baby boy Zain. The name means beauty and grace in Arabic.
After the news broke out that Mira gave birth to Zain Kapoor, congratulatory messages have flooded in.
In all these lovely messages, there came in a sweet congratulatory tweet from Shahid's Mausam co-star Sonam Kapoor as well. The actress congratulated the Padmaavat actor on becoming a dad the second time.
She also went on to say that it was sweet that Misha now had a little brother to play with.
Shahid and Mira are also parents to two-year-old Misha.
Shahid Kapoor who is now responding to all the sweet messages that poured on his social media, thanked Sonam and also asked her when is she following suit!
He tweeted, "When you following suite Thank you Sonam. Loads of love."
Well, even we are wondering when Sonam is going to follow suite!
The two talented actors bonded during the making of Pankaj Kapur's film Mausam and since then have shared a cordial relationship.
In fact, Shahid described Sonam as a 3 am friend in one of his earlier interviews.
Shahid and Mira brought home their infant on Friday evening much to the delight of their fans and followers.
Mira's mom Bela, sister, Ishaan Khatter, Shahid's mother Neelima Azim, father Pankaj Kapur, Supriya Pathak and sister Sanah Kapoor also visited the house of the actor to welcome the newborn.
On the work front, Shahid Kapoor will soon be seen in the film Batti Gul Meter Chalu, directed by Shree Narayan Singh. The film also stars Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam.
