Speculations about Shah Rukh Khan being approached to play the antagonist in Yash Raj Films' Dhoom 4 have been rife for quite sometime now. Rumour has it, that the actor has been offered the villain's role in the fourth film of the Dhoom franchise. But is that true?

While interacting with the media on his 52nd birthday celebrations at Taj Lands End, Mumbai, the actor was quizzed if he has signed Dhoom 4. Shah Rukh cleared the air saying, "The film hasn't been offered to me yet as I've told Adi (Aditya Chopra) that I am currently not free. I haven't signed anything yet. Even I keep reading these reports. I should first finish this film, it's taking time. I'm currently occupied with Aanand L Rai's film."

He further added that the reason he's not taking up any new project is that he want's to be available for the dates that his leading ladies in Rai's film - Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif, dedicate to the project. He said, "I don't want to waste Anushka and Katrina's dates. They have signed two films. Katrina has Thugs of Hindostan and Anushka has Sui Dhaaga. I want to be available and not waste their dates."

When the actor was prodded a bit more if Dhoom 4 has been offered to him, he said, "With Yash Raj, they don't need to offer me any film. Adi just calls me up and I do the film. But I've told him, Karan Johar and other directors that I am not thinking of any other film till December. They understand and respect that."

Guess we'll have to wait for a little longer to get a heads up from SRK on his next project post Rai's film. Watch this space...
