When the theatres were closed and the cine-goers were locked inside their houses due to the Pandemic, it was OTT platforms like Netflix, Zee5, Prime Video, and Disney+ Hotstar among others which kept the audience entertained. Since then, the OTT platforms have also started to attract Bollywood stars like Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan, Manoj Bajpayee, Radhika Apte, Sonakshi Sinha, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and more. 

Many Bollywood stars are now making a comeback from OTT and it seems to have now become a trend. Recently, Kajol and Kareena Kapoor Khan made their OTT debut. As Bollywood stars take on OTT, they also charge a whopping fee for their roles. Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who made her OTT debut with the series The Family Man 2, is now the highest-paid actress on OTT, who reportedly charges Rs 10 crore per show. 

The actress reportedly charged Rs 4 crore for Raj & DK's The Family Man 2 wherein she played the role of Raji, a Sri Lankan Tamil liberation fighter. Her performance was praised by the audience as well as the critics and she is now all set to collaborate again with the directors and star in Citadel India. According to reports, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has increased her fees for her upcoming projects. As per a report in Siasat.com, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has demanded a whopping Rs 10 crore as fees for Citadel India. Some of the other highest-paid actresses on OTT include, Radhika Apte (Rs 4 crore per show), Rasika Duggal reportedly takes Rs 2 lakh per episode, Sushmita Sen reportedly takes Rs 2 crore per show and Sobhita Dhulipala also reportedly takes Rs 2 crore per episode. 

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is one of the highest-paid actresses in the South and also enjoys a huge fan following in Bollywood. The actress once revealed how she used to survive on one meal a day during her struggling days and said, "When I was studying my mom and dad told me to study hard and you will make it big. I studied hard. I topped 10th standard, 12th standard, and college. But then, when I wanted to study further, my parents could not afford it. I had no dreams, no future, nothing." 

She further added, "I know you believe that you are supposed to take the path your parents expect of you. But I am here to tell you to dream. Dream whatever you want and you will achieve it. You will fail, it will be hard – but you will persist. I ate one meal a day for at least two months. I worked odd jobs. And I’m here today. If I was able to do it, you can!" 

Meanwhile, on the work front, Samantha Ruth Prabhu was recently seen in the film Kushi which also stars Vijay Deverakonda. The romantic drama received a positive response from the audience and Samantha and Vijay's chemistry was loved by the audience. The actress has now taken a break from her work and will be next seen in Citadel India alongside Varun Dhawan.
