Actor Emraan Hashmi, who recently appeared in Jubin Nautiyal crooned love song 'Lut Gaye', is making headlines for calling Bollywood 'fake'. The B-town star, who has completed over two decades in the industry, in a recent radio interview revealed why he distances himself from the glitz and glamour of the showbiz world and called the industry 'fake'.

Emraan disclosed that he has followed a certain "work ethic" ever since he first made an appearance in films and on being asked if he distances himself from the industry because he finds it 'fake' since insiders mostly hype people on their faces but also tear the same people down behind their back, the actor told radio host Siddharth Kannan, "Aisa toh hai (This is a fact). There are no two ways about it. That is the truth of our industry. But it is not just because of that. I think a person's life should be more than just their profession."

Revealing what has made him remained grounded even after so many years in the industry, Emraan said that his friends, whom he has known for years and who have nothing to do with the film industry, have helped him remain humble and grounded.

Stating that his family gives him a 'realistic perspective' on things, Emraan also created them for keeping him grounded. He added that distancing himself from the film industry has helped him maintain his sanity.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Emraan is all set for the release of 'Mumbai Saga', a crime thriller by Sanjay Gupta alongside John Abraham, and 'Chehre' alongside Amitabh Bachchan. The films will release in March and April respectively.

He will also be seen in Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer 'Tiger 3', in the antagonist's role.
