In an age of mobile messaging and social media, eve teasing has only gone to the next level. A 19-year-old Sameer Syed, a resident of Williams Town, was beaten black and blue, and ended up losing three teeth in a nasty brawl with his friend’s brother Suhaid.

Allegedly, Syed has been teasing Suhaid's sister, by sending her SMS and leaving her messages on Facebook. Syed and Suhaid's sister had become friends on Facebook a year back. Despite being warned by Suhaid that his sister is too young , Syed continued to play the Casanova.

“On Wednesday at 6.50 pm, Suhaid called me and requested me to meet him to discuss his sister’s wedding. We met at Ahmed Sait Road around 7 pm. He came in a green jeep and started beating me up with a stick,” stated Syed in the complaint.

Syed suffered injuries on his head, back, cheeks and legs. “He dragged me to his house on Stephens Road and banged my head on the floor, breaking my teeth. He strangled my neck, after which I fell unconscious.  An hour later, when I regained consciousness, I found myself lying outside his house and rushed to the hospital,” the complaint stated.

Sameer has been sent to Government Dental College and Research Institute of Victoria Hospital for dental treatment.
