Bangalore cops seize stolen property

Two police constables on night duty in KG Halli recovered stolen property that was being taken away in an autorickshaw at HBR Layout in wee hours of Sunday; the auto driver managed to escape.

Police constables Krishnamurthy and Dadapeer, working with KG Halli police station, were in HBR Layout on a motorcycle. They noticed a speeding autorickshaw and blocked the road with the motorcycle. Upon seeing them, the auto driver took a left turn. The constables chased him for more than a kilometre. Finally, the auto driver reached a dead end. He jumped from the auto. The constables tried to nab the driver but he managed to escape in the dark.

They found two gold chains, a silver glass, four gold rings and Rs10,500 cash in the auto. There was a passport too, belonging to a native of Hindupur and a woman’s PAN card.
