On Tuesday, the Surat police had stated that a 45-year-old man from Gobburu village of Andhra Pradesh reached Surat and claimed that the 11-year-old girl was his daughter and she has been missing since October 2014. The man even submitted proof of Aadhaar card and photograph of his girl with the police, but it turned out that the photo and biometrics of the victim did not match. The features of the girl didn't even match with the photo of the girl submitted by the man. Now, the Surat police have conduct DNA test of the man to check if it matches that of the victim.

As per police, the man had issued the Aadhaar card of his daughter in 2012 and there is a possibility that her face features have changed in 5 years. The biometric of the victim did not match with the Aadhaar card one. Still, the man is claiming that the girl is his daughter. The Surat police wants to check each and every possibility and hence has taken DNA samples of both the man and the victim, to check whether it is matching. The DNA test results will come out within four days and it will confirm whether the man is the father of the girl.

R.R Sarvaiya, ACP Crime branch Surat, said, "We are waiting for the DNA reports in the matter, after which we can come to a conclusion. The reports will be ready within three-four days."

Meanwhile, on Tuesday two other families from Rajasthan had come to Surat to claim the girl as their daughter. However, it was later discovered that she was not their daughter.
