Gujarat BJP on Friday sounded the poll bugle for the Lok Sabha elections in North Gujarat. The party kicked off the political quest with a 'cluster convention' in Patan. The region in North Gujarat is dominated by three communities: Patidars, Thakors and Aanjana Chaudhary.
The convention was attended by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. He encouraged the Gujarat BJP cadres with the call that he gave for 'NaMo Again in Center'.
"Gujarat BJP has unmatched organisational skills that leader like Narendra Modi has inculcated in cadres. Your confidence and hardwork would definitely bring Modi government in power in the Center again," Khattar said.
Khattar was critic at opposition Congress and said the party works with selfish approach of one clan. "Their leaders have the priority for their family and their clan. They think the nation may lead towards hell, but their own growth should not stop. This kind of selfishness is not good for democracy. Now they are enticing the nation with freebies and teaching them to become selfish. They are making people habitual of freebies by making false and hollow promises," Khattar added.
Gujarat BJP chief Jitu Vaghani praised the dedication of workers here. He said, "It has been in the culture of BJP cadres that they work for society and common people. They would tolerate all the odds but will give smooth life to common people. Our leaders also are working selflessly for the interest of the poor class of our nation. I must say that you all workers are really adorable like god to us." Cluster convention for Saurashtra region will be held in Surendranagar on Saturday. The chief minister Vijay Rupani will remain present in the same.
