After you’ve tried healthy drinks and diet supplements, try the healthy organic eggs that have entered the market priced just 20% higher than normal farm eggs.

Besides being perfect in shape, size, healthy eggs have all the necessary nutrients in required proportion. Hatched naturally or organically, these are a rich source of Omega PF13, DHA, Vitamin A, B, D3…and the list is long. These eggs are also easily digestible and have great taste. “Health conscious people always prefer food items grown naturally. People have options of organic fruits, vegetables and cereals. Now they also have an option of organic eggs. Every care is taken from hatching to transportation of these eggs,” said Sanjay Patel, MD of Biotech Group. The company has introduced healthy eggs under the brand name of Yolky. According to Patel, it is for the first time that such eggs have been introduced in India. Currently, they are available only in Gujarat.

Healthy eggs are rapidly gaining popularity among the health conscious people of Surat. Besides health qualities, priced only 20% higher compared to ordinary eggs, they have been a hit in the market. While the price of routine egg is Rs4 per piece, healthy egg costs Rs5.5 per piece. “There is huge demand for these eggs and people prefer it than the normal farm eggs. Every 7-8 days, we have to renew orders for fresh stock. Majority of our consumers are young professionals, who are concerned about their health,” said Vijay Bhandari, egg whole-seller in Udhna.
