75-year-old looted, murdered in house

The body of a 75-year-old woman was found from her house in Amraiwadi by one of her neighbours at around 7 am on Thursday. 108 emergency service, who immediately reached the spot after being called by the neighbour, found Kantiben Patel dead on arrival.

Unidentified men had hit her in the head and made off with her gold earrings, Amraiwadi police said. Patel, who was a resident of Gopalnagar in Amriawadi, used to stay alone in the house after her husband died a few years ago. The neighbour found the body lying in a pool of blood.

Inspector of Amraiwadi police station OM Desai said, "The incident must have happened on Wednesday night."
