It was a trip down memory lane for Dr Jane Willaims when she visited the Kerala United Theological Seminary in Thiruvananthapuram today alongwith her husband and archbishop of Canterbury Dr Rowam Willaims as it was in that campus she was born and spent her early childhood.

"It is marvellous to be back here", Jane, who was born Thiruvananthapuram when her father Rev Geoffrey Paul was a teacher at the seminary, said.

"Though the campus has changed with new buildings coming up over the years, I still could recall the scene where I grew up till an eight year old", Dr Jane said.

"I particularly remember a tree on the campus under which I used to play. It was full of caterpillars," she said.

Jane, however, said she had only a vague recollection of what the capital city of Kerala was like those days. "Obviously, a lot of changes have occurred, which are inevitable", she said during a chat with reporters.

The Willaims and their son Pip also had a look at the cottage on the campus where her parents lived.

Later, the seminary chapel was dedidcated in the name of her father Rev Geoffrey Paul and a couple of siblings were planted to mark the visit of the couple's visit to the campus.

A missionary-priest, Rev Geofrey Paul served in Palayamkottai and Thiruvananthapuram. He headed the department of the New Testament in the seminary and later became its principal before returning to England in 1965.
