Wikileaks whistleblower Chelsea Manning is officially on Twitter and the account has already attracted more than 32,000 followers.

Manning began transitioning to a woman following her conviction for copying and sharing classified military field reports.

Manning said she suffers from gender dysphoria - a condition of feeling one's emotional and psychological identity as male or female to be opposite to one's biological sex. According to Mashable, Manning's profile picture features a black and white drawing of her with long hair.

Manning is probably calling someone over to the prison to dictate her tweets since she does not have internet access in the prison. Fitzgibbon Media confirmed that Manning is making daily calls to dictate her tweets.

Manning was convicted in 2013 under the United States' Espionage Act of leaking classified documents to Wikileaks.
