Lina Dahlbeck, from Morden in south London, had no idea her life would change over a random text message saying ''Girls Trip". 37-year-old Lina, who was single, decided to reply to the random text: “Hi! Girls trip? Who’s this please? I’m guessing this was intended for another Lina,” according to a news agency IANS report.
While in south London's Colliers Wood, Evangelou thought he sent the message to his own separate number as a movie reminder to not miss it in the theatres. But, as fate has it, the reply from the unknown number definitely changed his luck.
Lina and Evangelou went on chatting for four hours straight. “We started chatting back and forth. I think if I wasn’t single I wouldn’t have continued the chat,” said Lina. “We were convinced it was fate that had brought us together."
Later that night Lina and Evangelou decided to meet over drinks (it was a date, actually). They knew it was not the last time they would meet and realised they met their 'love' of their life. They ended up getting married on December 7 last year. Fast forward to March, 2018, they are heading to Dubai where Lina plans to launch a make-up school.
Lina, however, said her and Evangelou's friends at first thought they were a "bit nuts". Her parents, though, were satisfied she met the love of her life and decided to settle down with him.
Lina believes her story can give hope to everyone out there who thinks they may not find 'love' and it maybe too late for them. To all those hopeless romantics out there waiting for your Cinderella and knight and shinning armour, never give up because you never know what fate has for you.
