The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were seen jokingly fighting with magic wands, as they visited the Harry Potter studios in Hertfordshire.

The royals officially opened the Warner Bros studios where the Harry Potter movies were made, Sky News reported.

The large sprawling site that is close to Watford is home to the popular Making Of Harry Potter tour, which has proved a huge attraction for people.

Props, costumes and models from the movies chronicling the teenage wizard’s adventures, were on display for the royal guests.

After visiting other attraction like Batman’s batmobile and batpod, the royal visitors including Prince Harry were introduced to ‘Harry Potter’ author JK Rowling ahead of viewing set-pieces from the movie series and a speech by William to mark the opening of the film facility in Leavesden.

The 100 million pound studios were the production home of all eight Harry Potter films, the James Bond movie Goldeneye starring Pierce Brosnan, the first of the Star Wars prequel films and director Tim Burton’s gothic horror Sleepy Hollow.
