Pakistan minister says peace talks cannot run parallel with ongoing terror acts

A blast targeting a police bus in Karachi on Thursday has created doubts about the Tehreek-e-Taliban's sincerity towards the ongoing peace talks, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar has said.

Nisar reiterated that peace talks cannot run parallel to such acts of war.

Speaking with the media at Karachi's airport, he condemned the latest atrocity and said they had communicated to the Taliban that there would be no war during the negotiations. According to the Express Tribune, but the attack on the police and the group's subsequent claim of responsibility has created doubts about their sincerity. He added that they have asked the negotiators to convey the message to he Taliban that these kinds of attacks are not tolerable.
