Nepal to hold Federal and Provincial Elections in November

With the approaching constitutional deadline over completing the remaining two tier of election, the Nepal Government has written to the electoral body to make preparations for holding the federal and provincial election on November 26.

The Election Commission of Nepal had proposed two separate dates for holding the election showing some technical difficulties in making the preparations.

The Election Commission has so far not reacted over the the decision of the government.

The Election Commission had last week proposed to hold the election in 31 of 75 districts on November and holding election in remaining 44 districts of Nepal on December.

The cabinet meeting of Monday also endorsed the upcoming visit of Nepal Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to India.
