Three days after the Malaysia Airlines flight went missing, husband of missing Pune passenger Pralhad Shirsat returned to Pune on Wednesday. Though he is keeping to himself, his first meeting with his sons after his wife's aircraft went missing broke him down.

Kranti Shirsath, 44, a former chemistry lecturer, is one of the five Indian passengers traveling on the Beijing-bound plane before it went missing last Saturday.

"Pralhad is tense and not able to speak anything. He is just dazed. During the entire journey from Mumbai to Pune he seemed calm. But as soon as his sons Rahul and Yeshwant hugged him, he broke down. Pralhad's boss who accompanied him in the flight from Mumbai said he hardly ate there. He has been restless all along, even in the flight," brother Satish Shirsath told dna.
