On Thursday, parts of Pakistan experienced a seismic shock as reported by the country's meteorological department, indicating a 6.0-magnitude earthquake. The epicenter of the quake was located in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), as posted on X.

The earthquake, measuring 6.0 in magnitude, occurred at 2:20 pm local time in the Hindu Kush region, with a depth of 213 kms.

 

Notably, Afghanistan has witnessed two earthquakes with a magnitude of 6 or higher since October of the previous year.
