Explosions at the departure hall of Brussels airport, at the Belgium capital, took lives of 13 people, leaving several injured.
The blasts at the airport and metro station occurred four days after the arrest in Brussels of a suspected participant in November militant attacks in Paris that killed 130 people. Belgian police had been on alert for any reprisal action.
Brussels is in lockdown. According to Crisis Center Belgium, all public transport, metro, train stations, trams, and bus services are closed. People are advised to stay where they are. They are requested to not flood the networks by trying to call. They are advised to use social media, texts.

All the passengers who were on the piers at the Brussels airport have been evacuated, tweet by Brussels Airport handle confirms. They have also issued a helpline number
