In what might seems to be straight out of a Bollywood potboiler, wedding guests in China's Suzhou were witness to a dramatic twist when the bride turned out to be family’s long-lost daughter.

The story unfolds thus. In coastal China's Jiangsu province, just before the wedding, the mother of the groom spotted a birthmark on her would-be daughter-in-law's body. It resembled a mark her own daughter had before she was lost two decades ago. The woman, after gathering some courage,  asked the bride’s parents whether their daughter was adopted.
