Yes, you read that right! Vinod Tiwari, director of Krushna Abhishek's upcoming film 'Teri Bhabhi Hai Pagle', is keen on making a biopic on actor-comedian Kapil Sharma's life and if not Kapil himself, he would want his arch rival Krushna to play the lead role. Tiwari apparently got inspired to direct the film after watching Sanjay Dutt's biopic, 'Sanju'.

“After watching ‘Sanju’, I am inspired to make a biopic and I feel biopic on Kapil Sharma will be worth it. It’s a story that needs to be out. In 2010, we wanted to make a film with Kapilji but producers Surendra Puri and Nostrum couldn’t do it then. Now they are also keen on doing a biopic,” Tiwari told news agency IANS.

When asked if he has anyone in mind to play the role, he said, “If Kapilji agrees to play himself, I would love to work with him or else I feel Krushna Abhishek will be perfect for the role as they are known for their comic timing and he will do justice for Kapilji’s character.”

Kapil Sharma has been in the news eversince Sunil Grover quit 'The Kapil Sharma Show' after their infamous mid-air fight. First reports of him cancelling shoots of big Bollywood celebrities made headlines and later rumours of his deteriorating health started doing the rounds. Earlier this year, Kapil again drew bad press when an audio call in which he is heard hurling abuses at a journalist, went viral. This week, pictures of a rather unrecognisable Kapil filled tabloid spaces.

While Kapil's story would surely make for a masala pot boiler, we are not sure how would the comedian react when he would get to know that the filmmaker is considering his arch rival Krushna Abhishek for the role. The comedians have often been pitted against each other despite Krushna having clarified many times that there is 'no rivalry' between them.

It's well known that Krushna's show 'Comedy Company' was about to replace 'The Kapil Sharma Show' before the channel eventually pulled curtains on the latter. Several comedians from Kapil's show had then quit Kapil's show to join Krushna's 'Comedy Company'.
