This is what Farhan Akhtar used to do to repel ghosts!

When he was younger, Farhan Akhtar had a unique way of watching a horror film. He would sing songs along with his sister Zoya to keep the ghosts away! On Neha Dhupia’s podcast, he shared that after watching horror films on TV, Zoya and he had to go through this really tiny passage in their house. “It  must have been about 10 metres long or maybe 15 at the most, from the place from where the TV was kept in the house, to go to our room. We had to go through this little corridor. After watching The Shining, in which the little twin girls are especially scary — we would imagine those two standing at the end of it (the passage), saying ‘come play with us’. Oh God! It was creepy. The only thing that kept us going was the song Disco 82, Disco 82. Whenever we ran from that room to our room, I don’t know why, but both of us without discussing, felt that this is the song that is going to keep us safe or that it repels spirits and ghosts. Both of us would sing Main ek disco, tu ek disco, duniya hai ek disco… fast and run.”
