Sushmita Sen's comeback to be a web show titled 'Aarya'; details inside

In December 2019, Sushmita Sen had taken to her Instagram page and announced her comeback on screen after a sabbatical of a decade. The actor wrote a heartfelt message stating, "I have always been in awe of the love that knows patience!! This alone makes me a fan of my fans!! They have waited 10 long years for my return to the Screen, lovingly encouraging me every step of the way throughout my hiatus...unconditionally!!! I RETURN JUST FOR YOU!!!!! #secondinnings #gratitude #love #faith #patience #showtime I love you guys!!! #duggadugga"

Now as per reports in Bollywood Hungama, Sushmita will be seen on a show titled Aarya which will be streamed from March 29, 2020. The show is set against the backdrop of Rajasthan and the actor has been shooting there for quite some time. With this show, new OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar streaming network will be entering India too.

Talking about the show, a source told the entertainment portal, "After the merger of Disney and Fox Star Network it was a wait and watch journey to see Disney+ and Hotstar merge. Now with Sushmita Sen’s new show Aarya, that will mark her return to acting after a ten-year gap, the Indian market will be introduced to Disney+ Hotstar."

The source added, "The show is directed by Ram Madhwani, and the shooting had commenced in December 2019. Set against a Rajasthani backdrop the show will see Sushmita playing the character of Aarya."

Meanwhile, Sushmita's last Bollywood outing was No Problem released in 2010.
