Amitabh Bachchan is hosting the popular quiz show yet again. And 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 9' is not just topping the TRPs but also impressed it's audience with the first crorepati on the show.

Anamika Majumdar, a homemaker and NGO worker from Jamshedpur became the first contestant to win 1 crore prize money. She runs her own NGO called Faith In India which inspired her to win the prize money for her social work. In an interview to The Quint, Anamika recalled the hard work that went behind it and said, "I have followed KBC from the very first season and had tried several times but this time it was a do or a die situation for me. My NGO needed funds because the government wasn’t helping us. When the registrations opened, I applied and once I got to know that I have entered the game then I knew it is the time to burn the midnight lamp. I was given almost a month to prepare, I worked as hard as I could. I studied current affairs, general knowledge and history. I had in mind the purpose I was working for which motivated me to work harder day by day. "

So, no surprises there that her family won't get a single penny from her big win. Anamika confirmed, "The entire money will be used in the development of Jharkhand. It is not just my win, it is a win for the women of Jharkhand. It is not a developed state -women and children both need up liftment here. I will not spend even a penny on anything else other than the required place and that is what Amitabh ji has advised me to do. I didn’t get anything for my family from the winning amount and I don’t think they will like it if I spend it on them rather than spending on the cause I went for. My children and my family are very happy, it is time for celebration and it is Diwali before time. We all have been dancing and enjoying my victory. I don’t want to distribute food and clothes, that is something a lot of people do. I want real development, which will come through educating as many children as I can.

This 41 year old lady not only runs an NGO for the kids but even directs and writes play for the little ones. Watch Anamika Majumdar's winning journey on KBC9 on tonight's episode.
