Amitabh Bachchan's much-loved show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC 12) had the megastar welcome Subhash Bishnoi from Uttar Pradesh on the hot seat on October 19.

While many contestants reach at least the Rs 3.20 lakh before leaving the hot seat, the episode saw Subhash Bishnoi from Uttar Pradesh, unfortunately, go back home, empty-handed.

As it happened, despite taking the 50-50 lifeline, Bishnoi answered the Rs 5,000 question incorrectly and got out of the game.

The question was, In terms of road traffic signs, what is the shape of a "stop" sign? The correct answer to the question was Octagon.

WHAT IS A STOP SIGN

A stop sign is a traffic sign designed to notify drivers that they must come to a complete stop and make sure the intersection is safely clear of vehicles and pedestrians before continuing past the sign. Stop signs originated in Michigan in 1915. The first ones had black lettering on a white background and were 24 by 24 inches (61 cm × 61 cm), somewhat smaller than the current sign.

The contestant, however, had asked host Amitabh Bachchan to lock "Oval". This is the point in the game that comes rarely in KBC. The lesson for Bishnoi, meanwhile, would be to never take unwarranted risks in life. Had he chosen to take one more lifeline, he would have possibly stayed in the game and gone far longer.

Meanwhile, KBC 12 has been having a phenomenal run ever since its commencement on September 29. Not only the game quiz show has an engaging format, but Bachchan also has this rare ability to connect with his contestants which has taken the show to the heights it is on. Within a few minutes into the game, we see the contestants freely interacting with the megastar and since many contestants come from the Hindi Heartland, they naturally connect with the superstar as he also hails from there.
