Kamal Haasan stands by his show Bigg Boss Tamil, and says it doesn't tarnish Tamil culture and the people of Tamil Nadu as claimed by Hindu Makkal Katchi.

The actor spoke to the media on Wednesday, after Hindu Makkal Katchi demanded to ban the show and arrest him for hurting the sentiments of the people of Tamil Nadu by depicting obscene content. Haasan said, " I'm not answerable to those who have filed the complaint. I'm not worried about the case. I have immense faith in law and our government. I don't think Bigg Boss is tarnishing Tamil culture. I have done kissing scenes in the past. Perhaps they are seeking my arrest late."

Not new to controversies Kamal said, " These people perhaps have not watched similar shows. Bigg Boss is as necessary as cricket in India. I'm in a very difficult profession. People who celebrated me while making Vishwaroopam are now against me." He even made a valid point for the cuss words on the show, "If we can stop using the word caste. I hope the words they use in the show are not as bad as they proclaim."

First ever Bigg Boss Tamil kickstarted on June 25 and just a few weeks later Hindu Makkal Katchi has complaint against the show and even asked arrest of contestants, Oviya, Gayatri Raghuraman, Namitha, Ganja Karuppu and Harathi among others.

Kamal Haasan also spoke about rumours of Rajinikanth entering the politics, "If he joins politics I will question him if he doesn't act properly in a situation.Irrespective of the government in power, I will continue to voice my opinion."

Haasan even voiced his opinion on the arrest of Malyalam actor Dileep in abduction and assault of an actress case." My support is with the victim. I respect the law. It doesn't matter if she is a heroine or a normal woman. It is the duty and responsibility of every single man including me to protect and safeguard our women."
