While some actors have taken the day off to celebrate the festival, others will be visiting their friends’ homes to seek Ganpati’s blessings. All of them are unanimous that the best part of the day is gorging on sweets.

Divyanka Tripathi: Best time to catch up with friends

I try taking out time from my shooting schedule and visit my friends who welcome Ganpati at their homes. This is the best time to catch up with people whom you aren’t able to meet otherwise around the year. Especially in Maharashtra, Ganpati started because it was part of the freedom fight and its main purpose was for people to meet and make plans for the fight for Independence. Ganpati and the tradition still remain the same and it’s the best reason to meet up with friends. I will not ask Ganpatiji for anything this year, as I know he is already fulfilling our wishes! He listens to our silent prayers. So, I would just like to thank him this year for all that he has given me, for all the happiness, which I hope just continues like that.

Sharad Malhotraa: Ganpatiji has always been lucky for me

I get a Ganpati idol at home for a day-and-a-half. I personally look into the decorations and my parents come down from Kolkata every year especially for the festival. Ganpatiji has always been lucky for me. I have complete faith in him and he makes me feel strong. I wish everything that happens in future should only be for the good. I wish Bappa continues to shower his blessings on me for my career and that of my loved ones’.

Rashami Desai: I love eating modaks

I’ve been bringing Ganpati idol home since many years. The festive atmosphere really perks me up. My mom is very fond of celebrations as well and the same has been imbibed in me. I personally look into the arrangements/decoration of Ganpati in vibrant colours with flowers and other things. I love to eat modaks, too. I like to visit friends’ Ganpati and vice versa. I pray that Ganpati Bappa keeps everyone in good health.

Ridhima Pandit: Will visit Lalbaghcha Raja

My family is of prime importance to me and hence every year, I ask for good health and prosperity for them. This year is no different. I intend to visit Lalbaghcha Raja and then end the first few days by visiting my friends’ homes. Wishing everyone success this year as always.

Karan Patel: Eating sweets is the favourite part

With every passing year, I feel I’ve become more sensitive to people around me. By God’s grace, I’ve been given everything in life and I’m grateful. I have asked for good wishes, good work my way and good health for my family. I will be shooting for the first half of the day and later will be with my family and visiting friends. Eating sweets is my most favourite part of the festival.

Rohan Mehra: Wish for an eco-friendly festival

Since I’m usually shooting, I’m unable to welcome Ganpati Bappa at my house, but the great part about this festival is that I am still able to seek the blessings at my friends’ houses. It’s the time I visit all my close friends post pack-up. This year, I wish we have a more eco-friendly festival, with less pollution. On the personal front, I hope Ganpati Bappa blesses me with good work and more exciting projects in the near future.
