Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro to go on sale today at 12PM; will be available exclusively via Flipkart

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro will be available via a flash sale today at 12PM via Flipkart as well as Mi.com. The 4GB RAM variant of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is priced at Rs 13,999 while the 6GB RAM variant is priced at Rs 16,999.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro will be available via a flash sale today at 12PM via Flipkart as well as Mi.com. The 4GB RAM variant of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is priced at Rs 13,999 while the 6GB RAM variant is priced at Rs 16,999.

As a part of today's sale, the smartphone will be available with no cost EMI options. Additionally, Reliance Jio customers can avail a cashback of Rs 2,200 after a recharge of Rs 198 and Rs 299. Once done, 44 vouchers of Rs 50 each will be credited into a users' MyJio app which can be redeemed, one at a time per recharge, against subsequent recharges.

Xiaomi has also begun pushing the MIUI 10 China Developer ROM for the Redmi Note 5 Pro which includes an option to record 1080p video in 60fps. According to a report by XDA Developers, the update adds the ability to capture Full HD videos at up to 60fps. At the moment, feature is not available on the MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM. The report pointed out that there is no information provided whether electronic image stabilization (EIS) is active on this mode.

Similar to the Redmi Note 5, the Note 5 Pro has a full-screen display. It is powered by a Snapdragon 636 processor along with a 12MP + 5MP dual rear camera setup and a 20MP front facing camera with Sony IMX376 sensor. Xiaomi is said to use pixel binning and Beautify 4.0 to ensure perfect selfies. Both smartphones include connectivity features such as dual-SIM 4G VoLTE capability, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
