Reliance Jio effect: Vodafone introduces new Rs 198 plan with 1GB daily data, unlimited calling

In an effort to compete with Reliance Jio’s “Happy New year 2018” offer, Vodafone has launched a new plan for prepaid customers, priced at Rs 198.

Under the Rs 198 plan, users will get 1GB data per day along with unlimited voice calls, for a validity of 28 days. Additionally, they will get 2800 SMSes with a daily cap of 100 SMS per day. Though, this plan is only applicable for first-time rechargers. If you are a new customer, you will need to pay Rs 229 for the same offer. The FRC plan of Rs 229 will offer 1GB 4G/3G/2G data per day.

On the other hand, Vodafone’s Red postpaid plans are aimed at customers who have heavy calling demands. For Rs 399, Vodafone offers 10 GB free internet data along with unlimited local and STD calls. Vodafone also offers a data roll-over feature, of up to 200GB, which will allow you to carry forward the unused data.

Under Vodafone's RED Traveller plans, users will have three options – Rs 499, Rs 699 and Rs 999. With Rs 499, users get 20GB data per cycle along with a data roll-over worth 200GB data. Users also receive unlimited local and STD calls.

With Rs 699, users get 35GB data per cycle along with a data roll-over worth 200GB data. Additionally, the company also offers 100 free SMSes with this pack. Lastly, at Rs 999, users will get 50GB data per cycle along with a data roll-over worth 200GB data and 100 free SMSes.
