HMD Global has silently released a new variant of the Nokia 6 - 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The device is priced at Rs 16,999 and will go on sale starting February 20, via Flipkart. It will be available in a Matte Black colour variant.

However, those interested to purchase the smartphone will have to register on the e-commerce portal in order to receive a notification when the variant goes live on the website. As a launch offer, Flipkart will also offer an extra Rs 2000 off on exchange of an older device for the new variant of the Nokia 6. It should be noted that this variant is not the new model – Nokia 6 (2018) – launched by the company in January.

In terms of specifications, the Nokia 6 features a 5.5-inch display along with a 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by a Snapdragon 430 processor and Adreno 505 GPU, paired with 4GB of RAM and an internal storage of 64GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

It comes equipped with a 16MP rear camera along with an 8MP front-facing camera. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1 and microUSB. Running Android Nougat out-of-the-box, it is backed up by a 3,000mAh battery.

The smartphone was well received after its initial release in the Chinese market and managed to garner 250,000 pre-orders within the first 24 hours.
