Founder of smartphone startup Essential Andy Rubin has returned to his company less than two weeks after it was announced that he took a leave of absence amid questions about an alleged inappropriate relationship.

According to ReCode, Rubin's spokesperson has maintained that it was a consensual relationship, but the woman had filed a complaint with human resources that led to the investigation. Rubin continued to work with his venture capital company Playground Global, which shares the same office spaces. He started Playground in 2015 and it has raised $300 million to incubate companies.

Early this year, the co-founder of Android introduced a new high-end smartphone, called Essential. It is priced at $699, (approximately Rs 45,200).
