US Open 2017: Kevin Anderson beats Pablo Carreno Busta to enter final

Anderson fought back after being one set down to enter his fist grand slam final.

Kevin Anderson beat Pablo Carreno Busta to enter the final at the US Open. 

28th seed Anderson beat the Spanish 12th seed 4-6, 7-5, 6-3, 6-4. He became South Africa's first Grand Slam singles finalist in more than 30 years.

With a world ranking of 32, he is the lowest-ranked men's singles finalist at the US Open since the rankings began in 1973.

He will face world number one Rafael Nadal or 24th seed Juan Martin del Potro of Argentina in Sunday's final.

Carreno Busta broke the huge Anderson serve in game seven on his way to win the first set.

The 6ft 8in Anderson needed some inspiration and he found it in the second set with a backhand cross-court winner that brought him level at one set all.

It was now the South African making all the running, earning six break points in the third set. Carreno Busta double faulted to give him the set. 

Anderson then to served his way in the fourth set make his way into the final.
