Mamata Banerjee designed a sculpture for U17 World Cup and Twitter isn't impressed

The sculpture, set up in front of the main entrance of Salt Lake Stadium, is causing a lot of discussion.

The Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata is one of the venues for the the FIFA Under-17 World Cup. The stadium officially known as Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (VYBK), will host the final match of the tournament.

However, a sculpture that has been set up in front of the main entrance of Stadium is causing a lot of discussion on the social media.

Conceptualised and designed by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee herself, the sculpture was set up on Thursday in front of main entrance.

Twitterati were quick to react to the photos of the headless sculpture and unsurprisingly most comments were not in praise.
