At an age of 19 years and six months, French teenage sensation Kylian Mbappe has already netted 56 goals.

 

At the same age, the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi did not even have goals even half of what Mbappe has now. While Ronaldo had 13, Messi had 14 to his name when they were 19 years and six months of age.

 

 

Mbappe, who has played for two clubs so far – Monaco and PSG. His first 15 goals in Monaco came at 1501 minutes, the least game time needed by any player in France to reach double figures that season.

While Messi and Ronaldo are yet to score a goal in a World Cup’s knockout match, Mbappe acheidved that in his maiden World Cup for France.

The football fans and pundits immediately declared that the French teenage talent will go past the current era’s greatest two footballers, Messi and Ronaldo, just when Mbappe scored a brace in France’s Round of 16 match in the World Cup.

He singled-handedly crushed Argentina with two goals as France qualified to the last-8 with a 4-3 win.

Mbappe strengthened his case when he scored in the final to become just the second teenager to do so after Brazilian legend, Pele, who scored in the 1958 World Cup final against Sweden.

Mbappe scored France’s fourth goal before the Les Bleus lifted their second World Cup trophy by beating Croatia 4-2 on Sunday in Moscow.

With four goals for France, the found of the 2018 World Cup, Kylian Mbappe won the FIFA Young Player of the Tournament.

 

The tournament started last month and Mbappe, match after match, impressed with his rapid pace and dribbling skills. That’s when rumours began to link the teenager to Spanish giants Real Madrid. The rumours got stronger when Real announced the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus.

With Ronaldo gone, Real would be in desperation to sign a forward as soon as possible and Mbappe has been considered one of Real targets along with Eden Hazard.

However, Mbappe on Monday confirmed that he will be staying at his current club and Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). 

Mbappe, who made a transfer from Monaco to PSG last season on loan, has said that he has no plans ofleaving PG so soon as he has committed his future to them.

According to reports, Mbappe, who scored 21 goals for PSG across competitions in 20171-8, told reporters, “I will stay with PSG, continuing on my path with them. I am at the beginning of my career.”

Mbappe after a stellar show in the World Cup is expected to receive a massive contract from PSG.
