Ukrainian WBC world heavyweight boxing champion Vitali Klitschko has targeted British boxer David Haye as his preferred option as his next opponent.

Klitschko’s demand came after he retained his title with a 10th-round stoppage of London-based Polish fighter Albert Sosnowski in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.

“I would like to fight either David Haye or the Russian giant Valuev next. I would really like to fight Haye next because I want his title,” The Mirror quoted Klitschko, as saying.

“All Haye does is talk trash about other fighters. I would really like to get him in the ring to shut his big mouth,” he added.

When asked about his fourth defence in his third reign as world title-holder, Klitschko said: “I am very happy about my performance. Albert was good, but I saw his mistakes and took advantage of them.”

It was the Ukrainian’s 38th stoppage victory in 42 fights.

Meanwhile, WBA world heavyweight champion Haye is in talks with Klitschko’s younger brother and IBF-WBO king Wladimir about a world title unification clash in October.
