Ranchi waits for daughter-in-law

Ranchi has been waiting for its daughter-in-law but, till late on Monday, there was no sign of Sakshi Singh Rawat.

Thousands waited outside the now-famous Harmu Housing Colony in Ranchi on Monday, where the Dhoni family stays.

It is learnt that immediately after the wedding, the Dhoni and the Rawat families left Dehradun. While the families reached their hometowns, the newly-weds were still to arrive at the time of going to print.

Unconfirmed reports said MS Dhoni and Sakshi flew to Ranchi after a brief halt in New Delhi. Sources in Ranchi said the India skipper and his wife will land there by chartered flight. Dhoni will reach Jamshedpur on Tuesday morning and will visit the Dewri Temple to offer prayers. He is known to visit the temple before and after an important event in his life.
