Starting the final day at 119-3, Mumbai piled up 334 for seven and finished the final day with a huge 570-run overall lead over the hosts Haryana, thanks to a brilliant unbeaten 101 by Ajinkya Rahane. This Rahane's second century of the match.

Earlier, the visitors scored 400 in their first innings and then bowled out Haryana for a paltry 164 to take a 236-run first innings lead.

Mumbai will take on Delhi in the semifinal. Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) joint-secretary Hemant Waingankar informed DNA that Mumbai would play their semifinal at the Brabourne Stadium. "The moment I got to know that Delhi qualified, I called up the CCI authorities and booked the ground," Waingankar said. Had Tamil Nadu qualified, Mumbai would have had to travel to Chennai for the match.
