Injured Manchester United striker Michael Owen has said that he is determined to play for England again.

Owen, 30, insists he still has something to offer now that he has shaken off a groin injury.

"I've got 89 caps so far. I played for England for many years, starting when I was 18. I played right through to two years ago. So, hopefully I'll play for them again one day," The Sun quoted Owen, as saying.

"I've had my fair share of injuries but also had plenty of games. When I look and see the number of games I've played for club and country, I don't feel harshly treated by many injuries," he added.
