WWE Money in the Bank 2016 results: John Cena loses; Dean Ambrose becomes WWE World Heavyweight champion

WWE Money in the Bank 2016 saw Dean Ambrose become the new WWE World Heavyweight champion and cashed on his former teammate who defeated Roman Reigns.

One of the biggest shocks of the night came when AJ Styles beat crowd favourite John Cena. Styles was on point with his timing and it was reminiscent of some of the older vintage WWE matches. In the end Gallows and Anderson took out Cena while the referee was incapacitated. Meanwhile, Roman Reigns lost a match to Seth Rollins who in turn lost out to Dean Ambrose who cashed in his Money in the Bank Briefcase, which he won against Jericho, Cesaor, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Albert Del Rio. Among the ladies, Charlotte showed she’s a force to reckon with battling off Natalya and Becky Lynch with the help of Dana Brooke in a tough tag-team match-up.
